Be the Best You Can Be

Come join the Boy Scouts at Troop 36

53 years | 48 Eagle Scouts

A small, friendly Boy Scout Troop, in which boys and families enjoy a quality, individualized Scouting experience.

Our meetings

We meet every Wednesday (school year only), 7:15 pm to 8:45 pm in Goleta.
Webelos: Let us know when you want to come visit. We'll set up an Open House just for you.

Never Scouted before? Just drop by with a parent, and sample a meeting or two, even an outing or two. You don't need a uniform to visit.

Our approach

Boys lead, but parents are closely involved too.
Families are welcome on most outings.
We're relaxed and friendly, not rule-bound, but we focus when we need to. That's why we advance in rank, have a high Eagle graduation rate, score well at Camporees, and win gold and silver Journey-to-Excellence awards.

Our parents

Troop parents offer Merit Badges in a variety of fields: citizenship, communication, electricity, family life, geocaching, music, photography, etc.

Best of all, we're happy Scouts. Friends. Join us!
